This CD contains a high quality scan of Slater's Commercial Directory of Shropshire, 1859 (a late Pigot & Co. directory). It contains a general description of each Town and Parish, statistics from the early census returns, and a list of all trades-people, Gentry and Clergy, and their residences.

All of our CD's are compatible with Windows® 95 and above, and MacOS® 7.5 and above. You will need a pdf viewer application, such as Adobe Acrobat® to view the files. More recent operating systems have pdf viewing capability already built in.
