This CD contains a high quality scan of Pigot & Co.'s Commercial Directory of Oxfordshire, 1842. It contains a general description of each Town and Parish, statistics from the early census returns, and a list of all trades-people, Gentry and Clergy, and their residences. This edition is very useful as it was issued just after the 1841 census, which is the earliest still available.
