The GENealogy of the UK and Ireland website. If you are new to researching your family history then this is the site to start with. There are pages for each county in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and in most cases, each Parish within the county. There are many transcripts also. The whole site is supported by volunteers who are often experts in their county.

This site holds a complete set of the Birth, Marriage and Death indexes for England and Wales. This is a pay service; you buy credits and these are used when you view a page image, although searching is free.
