We are a UK genealogy publisher with over 10 years experience in bringing access, to old and rare genealogy, heraldry, and family history related books and documents, to the general public. We scan or transcribe rare books and documents and make them available on CD-ROM and occasionally in printed form, to assist with your research.

Old family photographOur aim is to make it possible for you to perform as much family history research as you can from the comfort of your own home, by providing the tools and authentic data you need, at affordable prices.

We will try to guide you through the maze of records available, and give hints and tips to aid with further research into your English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh family history.

Whether you have just started out on the great adventure of researching your family history, or are a seasoned professional, we hope you will find items of interest in our archives. If not, then please let us know so that we may try to do something about it. Indeed, if there is something specific that you would like us to provide then contact us and we will see what we can do.

We are adding new products on an almost daily basis so please check back regularly to see what is new.

General Registration of births, marriages and deaths in England and Wales started on the 1st July 1837. From this date it became a legal requirement to register the event. Despite this, many early births and deaths were not registered.

A population census has been taken every ten years since 1801. The earliest still available is that for 1841, the others having been destroyed due to containing only statistical information. The only exception to this ten year rule is that there was no census taken in 1941 due to WWII.
